Civil Hand Notes - GATE Prep

Civil Hand Notes is a GATE preparation app for civil engineering students. We built the complete product for the client: the Android app, an admin dashboard to run the business, a landing website and the backend for orders and subscriptions.

What students get in the app: • Handwritten notes for every GATE civil engineering subject, organised by course and chapter • A built-in PDF reader, so notes open instantly inside the app • Free chapters to try, with the rest unlocked through a subscription plan • Subject-wise quizzes with a test screen, timer and a score summary at the end • Search across all courses and chapters • One-tap sign-in with Google • Push notifications plus an in-app notification inbox with unread badges • In-app plan purchase with secure online payments and coupon codes

What the client gets behind the scenes: • An admin dashboard to manage users, subscriptions, orders, coupons and plans • Content management for courses, chapters, notes, quizzes and the home screen carousel • Chapter access controls, so any chapter can be made free or locked in one click • Notifications sent from the dashboard straight to every student's phone • A responsive layout, so the dashboard works on a phone or tablet too

Built with React Native for the app, Next.js for the admin dashboard, Node.js for the order backend, Firebase for sign-in, data, storage and notifications, and Cloudinary for course images. The app is live on Google Play with 5,000+ downloads.
